Project Will Modernize Connecticut’s Research Facilities To Support Agricultural Science, Plant Health, and Environmental Protection

Department of Administrative Services recognized for its contributions to Connecticut’s green economy 

The Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) today announced that, while most DAS-managed office buildings are expected to open as normal following the major winter storm that impacted the state, the Uncas-on-Thames campus in Norwich will remain closed to the public on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, due to facility maintenance issues following the storm.

As Connecticut residents prepare to celebrate the holiday season, Fire Safe CT, a partnership with the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit, and the Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital, is reminding the public to take extra precautions to prevent fires and burn injuries at home. 

The school, the most sustainable technical high school ever constructed in Connecticut, represents a major investment in Bridgeport, the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS), and the state’s future workforce.

The Connecticut Education Network (CEN) and the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) today announced that Connecticut is investing $2.8 million through round one of the Community Wi-Fi Grant Program to expand free, high-speed internet access in neighborhoods, parks, schools, libraries, and other public spaces.
